The Recruitment & Selection Process

After the closing date, all applications are passed to the shortlisting panel, who check the application forms against the person specification and produce a shortlist of candidates.

Unfortunately, we are unable to reply to applicants who are not shortlisted.

If you are shortlisted, you will be invited to attend an interview by telephone, email or letter, (usually within two weeks of the closing date) and asked to confirm your attendance at the interview. When we have received confirmation of your attendance, an interview schedule will be forwarded to you. Generally, this will include meeting the Headteacher, a tour of the school by some of our students, a job-related test and a panel interview. More senior posts will also include an interview with staff/students/governors, a presentation, etc.

We normally appoint on the day of interview and candidates are informed of the outcome on the same day. Feedback is provided on request to unsuccessful candidates.
