Design & Technology Tournament Success

On Thursday 24th February 2022, 12 students from Year 10 represented Manor High School at the annual Rotary Club Technology tournament hosted at Leicester Grammar School.

This involved building a weight propelled vehicle to travel the longest distance.  Students were challenged to draw upon their STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) skills to produce their solutions to the set problem.  A portfolio of evidence was also submitted as part of the assessment criteria, this had to include evidence of teamwork and planning, range of design ideas, evidence of ideas development and appropriate preparation for making the solution.  Our students conducted themselves impeccably and were highly commended.  Particular congratulations to all the following participants: : Finn (W4), Luey (C7), Sheniya (B6), Hammad (W6), Joshan (W3), Darcey (W2), Aahil (C7) and Kush (B5).
