Manor High Ski Trip 2020
Students enjoyed a week in the Swiss mountains at the resort of Crans-Montana for our annual ski trip.
Schools are about so much more than results and whilst we are rightly proud to be in the top 1% for results, we are more proud of the well-rounded, confident, mature and sociable students we produce, with the help of our parents and our community.
The ski trip allows the students to grow and thrive. Set in the stunning Swiss Alps, in a beautiful resort, the accommodation provides opportunities for students to take control of their kit, food, rooms and general organisation. The owners of the hotel know and love our school and we are eager to reserve our place for next year.
All of the students were up on the slopes, within days. 80% were complete beginners but all were able to master turns and stops on the mountain. We skied at over 2,000 metres in weather that covered all four seasons. There were individual moments of glory and triumph but most important was the demonstration of respect and care, fostered through our vertical tutoring system which led to students helping each other. Bring on next year!
