Design & Technology Tournament Success

On Tuesday 25th February 2020 students from Year 9 and 10 represented Manor High School at the annual Rotary Club Technology tournament hosted at Leicester Grammar School.

Students were challenged to build a lighthouse that would flash in sequence. Students were challenged to draw upon their STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) skills to produce their solutions to the set problem. Our students conducted themselves impeccably and were highly commended. Particular congratulations to all the following participants: Taha Mamsa, Areeb Ahmad, Megan Ayres, Casey Stephenson, Beth Finney, Sania Shah, Riese Patel and Max Glover.

Congratulations to Leicester Grammar on winning in each of the three categories. We take consolation from the fact that Manor High School won in the staff team category!

This year the following schools participated: Leicester Grammar, Dixie Grammar, Uppingham School, Oakham School, Stamford Grammar School, Manor High School, Rawlins Academy, Ratcliffe College, Beauchamp College, Rushey Mead Academy, Crown Hills and Soar Valley School.
