Years 9 and 10
We have already begun a range of assemblies where providers of different Post 16 pathways have come in and delivered to our students to ensure they are aware of the different types of pathway that can be taken upon leaving Manor High School after year 11.
Our year 9 students had Apprenticeships focus last week, and year 10 will be getting this in April. Over the next few weeks we have Leicester College (Year 10), North Warwickshire and South Leicestershire College (Year 9) and Gateway College coming in to visit us.
Year 11
Thank you for helping students get their applications in to Post 16 providers (schools and colleges etc). Please be aware that Post 16 providers work in different ways and, as a result, some will already have let students know they have received an application and others may not. With this, some may have already been offered places and others will have not. Please do not worry. It could take until February/March to hear back from an application. If you have any questions or concerns regarding an application, then feel free to contact the admissions team for that specific application (contacts can be found on the individual provider website). If students have any concerns, it also goes without saying that they can speak to staff here at Manor High School, and we will guide and support them.
Lastly, please ask students to accept all offers they receive. Students can hold multiple offers from a range of providers.
Work experience
Please can all parents/carers of students who have handed in a work experience form ensure they have made the payment via the school gateway. The LEBC is already processing applications, so it is really important that we collect the payments in. Thank you.
