OFSTED Report 3rd & 4th July 2024
Our last OFSTED inspection was a Section 8 Inspection that confirmed that Manor High School was a Good school.
It is very pleasing that the report highlights many areas of strength within our school:
- High Aspirations: The report notes that both staff and students share a common vision of high expectations and aspirations and that “pupils work hard and achieve very well” and that they “willingly engage in learning”.
- Positive Relationships: The inspectors observed “warm and respectful” relationships between staff and students, which are essential for creating a positive learning environment.
- Exemplary Behaviour: The report confirms that student behaviour is very good and often exemplary, reflecting the strong ethos of the school. “Pupils behave in a calm and orderly manner” and there is “a purposeful atmosphere across the school”. “Often, pupils’ behaviour is exemplary”.
- Curriculum Development: The inspectors acknowledged the significant work we have undertaken to develop a broad, ambitious, and well-planned curriculum, ensuring that teachers have the necessary subject knowledge to deliver it effectively. “Across all subjects, curriculums clearly set out the knowledge pupils will learn and when. Pupils learn subject content in a carefully considered order.”
The report is overwhelmingly positive and is a testament to the hard work and commitment of our entire school community. It confirms that Manor High School is an excellent place for children to learn and grow, and we remain steadfast in our commitment to working together with parents and students to ensure our students achieve excellent results and become excellent people.
