Job Opportunities

Manor High School aspires to be outstanding in all areas and we seek to recruit individuals of the highest calibre who can demonstrate the experience, skills and determination to help us meet this aspiration.

All our job opportunities are advertised on the school website and we only accept applications resulting from advertised posts and not speculative enquiries. Please note that applications will only be accepted from candidates completing the appropriate application form, and CVs are not accepted in substitution of these forms.

Manor High School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All posts at the school are designated as regulated activities and require enhanced criminal records checks for a regulated activity (including a barred list check).

We also welcome volunteers to help in the school in a variety of roles. If this is something you are interested in, please complete our volunteer application form.

If you have any enquiries regarding working at Manor High School, please email HR@oaktrust.org or contact the HR Manager, on 0116 271 4941.

Recruitment & Selection Process

After the closing date, all applications are passed to the shortlisting panel, who check the application forms against the person specification, and produce a shortlist of candidates.

Unfortunately, due to the large number of applications we receive, we are unable to reply to applicants who are not shortlisted.

If you are shortlisted, you will be invited to attend an interview (usually by email) within one week of the closing date, and asked to confirm your attendance at the interview. When we have received confirmation of your attendance, an interview schedule will be forwarded to you. Generally, this will include meeting the Headteacher, a tour of the school by some of our students, a job-related test (for support staff) or teaching a lesson (for teaching staff) and a panel interview.  More senior posts will also include an interview with staff/students/governors, a presentation, etc.

Please note that references will also be requested at the shortlisting stage.

We normally appoint on the day of interview. A member of the interview panel will telephone all candidates to advise them of the outcome, and feedback is provided on request to unsuccessful candidates.
