Indoor Athletics Competition

On the 9th of March a collection of Year 7 and 8 students were selected to represent the school and compete in the Oadby and Wigston Indoor Athletics competition.

After a tough series of events, the Year 7 boys team finished first and as a result, qualified for the county finals.

We are tremendously proud of the resilience and determination shown at this competition by all the Manor High School teams, what is reflected on the school winning the 'Spirit of the Games' award for our conduct.

Following on from this success, the Year 7 boys were invited to represent the whole of Oadby and Wigston at the county indoor athletic finals at Loughborough University. The Year 7 team did brilliantly but just missed out on a medal finish. The team finished in fourth place out of the 10 qualified schools in attendance.

The PE department are very proud of the efforts and commitment shown by all students throughout all stages of the Indoor Athletics competition.
