Christmas Food Bank Appeal
Well, if Manor High and Brookside Primary know how to do one thing well, it is charity!
Manor High and Brookside Primary wanted to make sure that no one in our local community has to go hungry this Christmas, and asked for the help and support of our students and their families.
This year, in lieu of a monetary donation to wear non-uniform on our annual Christmas jumper days, students and staff were asked to bring a donation for our local foodbank. We had no idea just how generous everyone would be. We were literally inundated with donations of food, drinks and festive treats. There was so much in the end that it took two journeys in the school mini bus to transport all the bags and boxes.
Student leaders from both Brookside and Manor High helped load the bus and unload the many donations at Trinity Church.
Thank you for helping us to support families in crisis this Christmas. Your kindness will truly make a difference to many during the festive season.
