Year 7 create specialised cell models

Dr Kellett set 7x2 the challenge of making a model of a specialised cell as part of their science work.

Students could choose any specialised cell that they had learnt about in lessons and they created their models at home as a mini project.

There were lots of incredible models ranging from nerve cells to plant cells and red blood cells. The students were incredibly creative in their presentation - some baked cakes, some models were 3D, others used materials around their house that would have gone to waste/be recycled.

All students annotated their models and there were some exceptional students who added extra detail or information sheets about their cells. All of the photos were put on the @MHS_Science twitter account and they have received a lot of attention.

A huge well done to 7x2 for their scientific knowledge and creativity!
